Yates County Summer School registration will be in-person at Penn Yan Academy from June 27th - June 30th, 9am - 12pm. Please visit the PYA Main Entrance during the designated times to enroll in the Summer School Program.

Notice is hereby given that the annual inspections for the 2021-2022 school year of the Penn Yan Central School District for fire hazards which might endanger the lives of students, teachers, and employees therein, have been completed and the reports thereof are available at the District Office of the Penn Yan Central School District for inspection by all interested persons. Inspection of the fire reports may be done at the District Office, One School Drive, Penn Yan, NY 14527 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday by appointment only at 315-536-3371.

Through our Extended School Day (ESD) Grant, and aligned with our PYCSD mission, vision, and equity and inclusion work, we will be providing all students in grades 6-12 with unlimited, 24/7, free, online individualized tutoring in nearly all subject areas! We are excited to offer our PYCSD students summer enrichment opportunities through our New York State Extended School Day (ESD) Grant. The majority of our enrichment opportunities will take place on the PYCSD campus, but we have also developed a formal partnership with GST BOCES through our ESD grant to offer even more opportunities through their long-standing "Summer of Innovation" program. More specific locations on campus will be shared based on enrollment, summer school, and the summer cleaning schedule.

Earlier this afternoon it was reported from the Penn Yan Police Department that there was a suspicious person in the community near campus with what appeared to be a weapon. Based on this, we were advised by law enforcement to transition to a hold in place while authorities investigated. After the investigation, law enforcement determined that it was an airsoft gun and it was safe to release secondary students to go home and PYE students back to instruction. Students were released from campus approximately 25-30 minutes late and will be returning home via their regular mode of transportation.
